The Point Church

Ready, Get Set, Grow!

Welcome to Ready, Get Set, Grow!

This series of seven studies is designed to introduce you to the basics of Christianity. You'll probably want to spend more than on session on each lesson - there's a lot here to think and talk about! I hope you'll take the time to respond to the thought questions and write your answers down. This is your workbook so don't hesitate to make your own notes as you think and work your way through the studies. You'll need access to a Bible for these studies. If you don't own a Bible, the Christian working through this series of studies with you can probide one. If you want to buy your own Bible, I'd recommend th New International Version (for adults) or the New Living Translation (for teenagers) for anyone not well acquainted with the Bible.

Whether you're sceptical but a little curious, earnestly seeking to know God more fully, or somewhere in between; I appreciate your open-mindedness and willingness to consider Christianity. I hope this study guide helps you on your way to discovering more about God and to knowing Him throudh His Son, Jesus. I pray that God will belss you on this greatest of all journeys.

In God's service,

Finding your way around the Bible...

The Bible is divided into books (the Bible is actually a library of 66 books), each of which is divided into chapters and verses. This arrangement makes it easy to find specific parts of the Bible. Bible references (such as those in this study guide) are usually cited this way:

The Name of the Book (or its abbreviation) Chapter: Verse (of Verses)

For example
Genesis 1:1-2 refers you to the book of Genesis, chapter one, verses one and two. It become easy once you get a little practise.
